Consider where the vehicle parks, cable reach, daily mileage, tariff preferences and whether another vehicle may need charging. The electrical survey should cover the incoming supply, maximum demand, earthing, protective measures, charger position, cable route and connectivity. Choose around real charging needs rather than an app feature list.

Will every home support the same charging speed?
No. Available supply capacity, other electrical loads and the vehicle affect the suitable charging arrangement. Load management or supply work may be needed. A survey establishes what is practical before a charger and installation scope are agreed.
What should I send before the survey?
Send the postcode, vehicle model, parking position and preferred charger location. Mention solar panels, a battery, a heat pump and any future vehicle plans. Photographs of the parking area and closed electrical equipment can help; do not remove covers.
What happens at handover?
The agreed installation should be inspected, tested and commissioned, with the relevant certification and operating guidance provided. Check how charging schedules, connectivity and any load-management settings work before the job is completed.
